A facility management operation needed to procure cleaning, graffiti removal services, and consumables. Required project management through the procurement process and support during start-up.
Existing suppliers were expensive. Savings potential existed.
Project management of the cleaning and graffiti removal procurement
Including developing tender documents, supplier invitation and evaluation process, contract drafting, and negotiation and price pressure on shortlisted suppliers.
Managing the start-up of selected suppliers
Full responsibility for the start-up to give new suppliers the conditions to succeed, including condition surveys, action plans, material planning and delivery, and invoicing. Also included phasing out the current supplier professionally.
Project management of the consumables procurement
The assignment was extended to include a similar process for purchasing consumables. Completed with a cost saving of 40% compared to the current supplier.
